Winemaker Notes

This is our fourth vintage of Rosé of Malbec, and we are very excited about the quality of this year’s vintage. We chose this high elevation Malbec vineyard site because of its unique characters with thicker skins, smaller berries sizes that help contribute to the unique character of this wine.  The wine is made in the traditional style, pressing off the skins after close to 6 hours of cold soak contact. This year we harvested the fruit on the 24th of October after the Malbec grapes achieved the optimal ripeness for the style of Rosé that we love to make.  Inoculated with Elegance yeast, fermentation took place in a temperature controlled stainless steel fermenter to maintain the delicate aromas and fruit character in the wine.
