With harvest dates ranging from late September to early-November, we had a great selection of fruit with varying flavors and acidity levels that gave us a nice base to work from. Areté and our Estate Vineyard were fermented with PDM yeast with Jose using 792 on the Champoux lot. All lots were fermented in our stainless steel upright fermenters to provide great fruit character with a nice balance of acidity.
55% Areté Vineyard Chardonnay, Columbia Valley
30% Badger Mountain Estate Vineyard Chardonnay, Columbia Valley
15% Champoux Vineyard Chardonnay, Horse Heaven Hills
On the nose this wine is bursting with great layered aromas of nectarine, mandarin, and lemon with a nice touch of green banana. Rich flavors of citrus, stone fruit, mandarin with a hint of lemongrass sit on a nice edge of minerality and acidity that is balanced with a touch of richness that lingers on the bright and balanced finish.
