With 2017 being another warm vintage in Washington State, Talcott Vineyard has again provided us with a nearly perfect balance of fruit character, pH, and acidity for our fourth bottling of Viognier. Following a harvest date of the 23rd of September, we used Elegance yeast and fermented the Viognier in an upright stainless steel tank to provide a very focused wine with great aromatics and a bright finish.
100% Talcott Vineyard Viognier, Wahluke Slope
Immediately engaging aromatics of Green apple, hibiscus, tropical fruits, and banana. Pear, nectarine, kumquat, and grapefruit give way to a finishing touch of floral, minerality, offering flavors that are layered and bright. This wine is very fresh and balanced on the palate, with a beautiful mouthfeel and perfect acidity.
