Washington is known for having world class Merlot, and this bottling is no exception. Most of the components of this Merlot were fermented in stainless steel uprights with the exception of the Champoux Merlot, which was fermented in a pump under fermenter. We used PDM yeast on the Katherine Leone Merlot, Goose Ridge Merlot, Cougar Syrah, and Goose Ridge Malbec with 796 yeast used on the Champoux Merlot. All components then completed 100% malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and were aged for 25 months in 2 and 3-year-old French Oak barrels. .

Aromas of black cherry, mocha, cassis and sage. On the palate, bright cherry, cassis, cocoa, and sweet cigar, followed by hints of white pepper and sage, and a well-balanced tannins on the finish.
